Study activity

The Bachelor Program is a full time program corresponding to 41 hours of study activities per week, and including a variety of activities.

The activities vary according to the program and topic, and they include much more than classroom teaching.

A graphic model illustrates the variety of activities. The model is widely used at all University Colleges in Denmark. It shows the distribution and weight of the activities throughout the program. For each of the categories, teachers and students have different roles and responsibility.

The Study Activity Model fulfills three purposes:

  1. The model makes visible that the various study activities constitutes a full time program. The model illustrates and provides the student with an overview of the activities and a means of planning   his/her time.
  2. The model makes visible that a Bachelor Program at a University College includes different types of study activities.
  3. The model serves a basis for a discussion between teacher and student about expectations in relation to responsibilities and roles connected to the study activities
