Attendance and Attendance registration

In the teacher education program, there is mandatory attendance and attendance registration for all first and second-year students, as well as attendance registration for all other years. Attendance and attendance registration apply to all students in the professional bachelor’s program for primary school teachers, regardless of the format in which you are studying (LU-23).

As a student, you are required to follow the program as it is organized by the educational institution. This means you are obligated to attend a minimum of 80% of all scheduled lessons in each subject.

Meeting the attendance requirements is a prerequisite for being eligible to sit for the exam.

Regarding Attendance Registration

  • Attendance is registered using the program’s learning platform, Itslearning.
  • You must register your attendance once during each teaching block. For full-day classes, you must register both before and after the lunch break. Registration is done through the self-registration function.
  • You can view your absence percentage in Itslearning, and it is your responsibility to ensure that you meet the attendance requirements. You are also responsible for notifying your instructor if there has been an error in the registration.

Please read the guidelines from the Digital Office regarding attendance registration for students (including instructions on how to self-register on both PC and mobile).

If your attendance at the end of the semester is below the 80% threshold, you will be required to complete a remedial assignment, which you will receive in Itslearning.

You can read more about attendance requirements and registration in the study regulations—see the menu here on Studienet.

Please see the attached document regarding the framework for attendance requirements and registration.
