Team Hold won Absalon Cup 2023

The Absalon spirit could be felt despite the wind and cold at this year's Absalon Cup.

On Wednesday, May 17th, at 8.45, groups of students began to arrive at Campus Vordingborg. The occasion was the annual social football tournament, Absalon Cup, which brings together students and staff from Absalon’s 7 campuses, and the participants were buzzing with excitement from the moment they arrived!

Hannah Fjord Jensen, forewoman of the Central Student Council and main organizer of the event, started out by welcoming the crowd, after which the tournament could kick off.

Prior to that, Facility Service had set up a tent, ensuring everyone had shelter from the somewhat dull weather. Volunteers from both Campus Vordingborg and Campus Slagelse lent a hand, and Hannah and student life coordinator Ida Juul Jensen made sure that everything ran smoothly so that the students could enjoy the day to the fullest.

During the lunch break, the canteens served up delicious pulled pork burgers, while music teacher students entertained with live music, and the local Friday cafe SMU supplied the participants with cold drinks. SMU was also responsible for the after party – featuring a DJ throughout the day.

There were a total of 18 teams, all giving their best effort, but in the end, it was Team Hold (“Team Team”) from Campus Roskilde who emerged victorious, earning themselves the title of winners of the Absalon Cup 2023!
