Nominate Your Teacher for the Teaching Award 2026

The Danish Ministry of Higher Education and Science is once again presenting national awards for outstanding teaching at higher education institutions. And it’s the students who get to nominate their teachers.

You can nominate your teacher via Studienet until December 5, 2025, at 12:00 noon. Nominate your teacher here!

What Is the Teaching Award?

The Teaching Award celebrates teachers who make an extraordinary difference in their teaching.
Each award is worth DKK 500,000 – with DKK 200,000 as a personal honorarium and DKK 300,000 earmarked for development activities that strengthen a great and engaging learning environment.<o:p></o:p>

Based on student nominations, Absalon’s prize committee will select three candidates to move forward to the national selection committee. From there, the national jury will choose the two winners from all higher education institutions in Denmark.

Absalon Has a Proud Tradition

Several Absalon teachers have received the Teaching Award in recent years – most recently in 2024 and 2025, when Iben Fogstrup from the Physiotherapy programme and Ulricha Larsen from the Pedagogy programme were among the winners.
