New library system – what does it mean for you?

On the 20th of September 2023 Absalons library are launching a new library management system and a new website.

As a patron you will get a single access to both the physical items and electronic ressources.  Furthermore Absalon becomes part of a library system consortia consisting of a large number of the academic and research library sector.

What does it mean for you?

In the coming period the system change will have some impact for you as a user of the library.

23. jun. - 31. dec.

It’s not possible to request books or articles from other libraries.

1. sep.  -  19. sep.

It’s not possible to request items at the library.

 

14. sep.

If you have made a request in the old library system and you have not received a message about pick-up, then you have to request again in the new library system from the 20 of september onwards.

15. sep. - 19. sep.

In these days it will not be possible to loan and return items.

In the staffed opening hours there will be staff present at the libraries to help you.

20. sep.

It will be possible to loan, return and request items again.

 

Good to know

 

  • Log in at the selfcheck machines
    From the 20th of September everybody should use their student number/staff initials as username and the last four digits of their social security number as pin code at the selfcheck machines at the libraries.
  • Log in at biblioteket.pha.dk
    From the 20th of September everbody should use their Absalon login at the library homepage biblioteket.pha.dk
  • Hold shelf (requests)
    From the 20th of September requested items are set up after a pick-up date.
