New head of education for the Bachelor of Engineering in Biotechnology programme

Emilie Hjorth Ceylan joins as of 1 February as the new head of study for the Bachelor of Engineering in Biotechnology programme.

Emilie comes from a position as head of study at Zealand, where she has been responsible for the installation and agriculture training courses.

Head of Engineering and Science, Conni Simonsen states:

'I am happy that Emilie has agreed to the position as head of study with us. With her experience from managing a number of technical study programmes at Zealand, she comes with a good knowledge of the education sector, of cooperation with companies and of being a leader of teachers. Emilie has a PhD in biology from the University of Copenhagen and has taught at HTX for a number of years and then at Zealand. She therefore also has a good insight into and knowledge of education of young people. '

Emilie Hjorth Ceylan adds:

'I am very much looking forward to starting at Absalon and to contributing to the development of the Biotechnology programme. I am also looking forward to working closely with dedicated teachers and students, and together creating an exciting and developing study environment. Through my work experience, I feel very well equipped to contribute to the development of talented graduates, business collaborations and research and development projects. Most of all, I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone on the program and in Kalundborg.'
